Arcaa Designer Janna, recently took a trip to the vibrant city of Los Angeles, and she came back buzzing with fresh ideas, insider tips, and plenty of style inspiration. LA, known for its eclectic blend of art, architecture, and fashion, became the perfect backdrop for Janna’s creative journey.
From exploring hidden spots in Echo Park to soaking up the city’s dynamic energy, Janna’s visit wasn’t just a getaway—it was a treasure trove of inspiration that sparked new designs and concepts for our latest upcoming collections.
Without a doubt, Bacetti in Echo Park! It’s this incredible Italian spot tucked away in one of LA’s coolest neighborhoods. The atmosphere there is amazing—it’s warm and welcoming, but still has this effortlessly chic vibe that really resonates with the LA lifestyle. You can tell there’s a lot of care put into every detail, from the beautifully curated decor to the food itself, which is absolutely delicious.
Right now, I’m all about easy, oversized jeans paired with a simple tank top. It’s such a relaxed look but still feels put together, which is perfect for LA’s casual yet fashion-forward vibe. Oversized jeans are having a major moment, and I love how comfortable and versatile they are. You can dress them up with heels and a statement bag or keep it laid-back with sneakers and minimal accessories. It’s a style that transitions effortlessly from daytime outings to casual dinners.
For those cooler nights, I always keep our Lara Shirt close by. It’s become my go-to layering piece because it’s lightweight but still adds the perfect amount of warmth. The Lara Shirt has this relaxed, slightly oversized fit, so it’s great for throwing over a tank when the temperature drops. Plus, it’s neutral enough to go with anything. Whether I’m heading out for a late-night bite or just taking a stroll, it’s the ideal extra layer without feeling too heavy. This combo is all about being comfortable, stylish, and ready for anything that LA’s unpredictable weather throws your way!
Honestly, there was inspiration everywhere I turned. LA is such a dynamic city, and I felt constantly energized by the incredible mix of art and architecture that you find in every neighborhood. Whether it was a striking mural on the side of a building or the clean lines of a mid-century modern home, there’s such a seamless blend of old and new in the city. The contrast between historic landmarks and cutting-edge design really sparked my creativity.
Beyond the architecture, LA’s shopping scene was a huge source of inspiration. I visited so many unique boutiques and thrift stores where the styling was so fresh and individualistic. You get a real sense of freedom in fashion here—people aren’t afraid to mix vintage with modern or experiment with bold looks, and that resonated with me a lot.
And of course, I can’t forget the food ! From chic restaurants to street food, the culinary scene in LA is so diverse and exciting. It’s creative, much like the fashion. Lastly, the people I met were incredibly inspiring. There’s a real sense of community, collaboration, and creativity, which left a lasting impression on me and definitely influenced my designs.
My top three pieces from the collection are the Lara shirt in Cream, the Poppy set in sky , and the Mila Bubble Knit mini skirt in cacao.
The Lara shirt is made from organic cotton, making it not only stylish but sustainable, and it’s perfect for layering. The Poppy set is one of my favorites because it’s reversible and crafted from a blend of linen and organic cotton, offering versatility and comfort. Lastly, the Mila skirt, in a rich cacao color, has this playful bubble-knit texture that’s both fun and sophisticated.
What I loved most about LA was its vibrant energy. Everywhere you turn, there’s something exciting happening, whether it’s a pop-up art installation, a street performance, or a new restaurant. The city feels alive with creativity and possibility.
Each neighborhood has its own unique vibe—from the laid-back feel of Venice to the glamour of Beverly Hills—and that mix of different styles and cultures really stood out to me. I was inspired by the blend of old and new, and the people I met were full of creative energy, which made the experience unforgettable.
