"Here Now" is the namesake piece of the collection and a reminder that everything unfolds in its own time. What we may perceive as a detour can often lead us somewhere far more beautiful than the destination we originally had planned.
We spend so much of our lives waiting.
Waiting for the next milestone, achievement, chapter, Holiday. The next version of ourselves. Yet life is really only ever happening here. This piece is an invitation to soften into knowing it's all working out and you are exactly where you need to be.
Created as part of my latest collection exploring humanity, presence and the joy of real life, this piece invites us to soften our grip on control and trust the unfolding of our lives. To become fully present to what already exists around us rather than constantly chasing what comes next.
Painted with expressive brushwork, layered colour and visible hand-made marks, the piece embraces the beauty of the hand. I wanted the work to feel alive, joyful and unmistakably human — carrying a sense of warmth and presence into the home it inhabits.
